Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka is Belarusian born in Minsk. Sergey Sabalenka (d. 2019) is her hockey-playing father. Aryna Sabalenka was birthed in Minsk 5 May 1998. Her career has seen her been awarded 12 WTA singles titles. One of them was the Grand Slam at the 2023 Australian Open. Her doubles game is excellent and she has also won Majors in both the US Open (2019) and Australian Open (2021), both with Elise Mertens. Together with Mertens, the Belgian tennis star she was a WTA 1000s winner in Indian Wells in 2019 and Miami. The feat was achieved by four couples in singles for women. The Belarusian rose from second place to third place in the world singles rankings at the end of August on the 23rd, 2021. The highest ranking she achieved was again achieved in January 2023. In the same year, she was crowned at Melbourne in the following year, and then was ranked number one worldwide in doubles. She was trained by the former Russian tennis player Dmitry Tursunov from 2018 until the close of the 2019 season, and partly at the beginning of 2020. Dieter Kindlmann and her were briefly together between August and September of 2020. Antonio Dubrov is her coach, and has been since the start of 2020. Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova were her idols.
